Display, one line malfunctioning

Hi There,
I noticed, one line of the e-ink display is not working, i.e. it stays completely white/gray, which is very disturbing. Is there a way to fix this softwarewise (graphics driver error or so?) or do I need to send it in?:slight_smile:

I have the same problem. It was just one line last night and it became 2 now. :sob:
Mine is brand new…

Same, I got mine yesterday…

Fingers crossed that is just a software problem rather than hardware, it will be pain in the neck to send it back to get it fixed…

So apparently, you need to send it back to get it exchanged…

Same here, I got mine last December and one line became malfunctioning recently. I contacted After Sale Dept and they said they will review and repair the unit. Today I shipped it to their Hong Kong office via UPS. I hope they could fix or perhaps replace the screen. One thing strange though is that the defected lines increased over time. First it was one line and today just before shipping it became three. :frowning:

Is it hardware or software problem? As I am in Uk, it is indeed inconvenience to get it fixed. Is there anyway that I can fix it myself?

Yes mine has one line missing as well. They told me that they are opening up a repair facility in America soon and I should wait until then.
