Max 3 WiFi password length issue

There is a bug in the WiFi password system. The WiFi system will only use the first 58 characters of the password field when authenticating.

I have a WPA2 WiFi network that takes a 61 character password. When I type in the password the Max 3 fails to join the network. However, it will join the another network with a shorter password.

If I paste in the password into the WiFi password field, the text field only accepts the first 58 characters. Typing in the remaining missing characters will cause an authentication failure.

Hello Rick, apologize for any inconvenience that may cause. We will forward this feature to our R&D team to follow up and will keep you updated.

I’ve found a workaround for this issue.

If you preview the password authentication fails.

If you type in or paste in the password without preview you can successfully authenticate with a WiFi access point.
