I am wondering how to stop annoying, unwanted pop-up ads in Neo-Reader, which I think happen only when the wifi is active. This is criminal for a device with built-in software that costs $650 USD!!!

Sorry. I figured it out. Ads were related to a note app I installed and not to the native operating system. Apologies. But for all who are concerned, beware of Android apps that operate in the background, even though they are not the primary app being used.
