Hello. Is there a file that contains highlights and annotations for ebooks (epub, mobi, etc) similar to the way Amazon Kindle stores this information in a file call clippings.txt ?
There is. It is saved in a file in your notes directory. Or, in the book’s directory if changed the relevant settings.

It doesn’t get created automatically. You’ve to use the share button of the bottom of the annotations tab in the TOC.
