My old Onyx M96 allows me to draw smooth lines, so that handwriting looks nice and even simple pictures are more pleasing to the eye. It looks like M96 comes with some kind of of ‘simulated’ pressure sensitivity, which is quite effective. The faster you move the stylus the thinner the line becomes, just like writing with a marker pen.
Unfortunately I cannot get the same smoothness on my newer N96. I’m very disappointed as the scribbling feature is one of the main reason why I chose an Onyx reader over other devices but it doesn’t look nice on N96. It gets worse as the text gets smaller, for example, when annotating PDF documents, the handwriting looks ugly and becomes hard to read.
