The review on PCMag (https://www.pcmag.com/review/359330/onyx-boox-max2) says, that Max2 has “a fabric loop to hold the included stylus. (The pen has a clip that hooks onto the loop.)”.
Other sources (like goodereader) says “Stylus has no clip, easy to lose”.Also the picture on the Onyx web page also shows no clip, nor does the picture on Amazon.
Maybe there is two versions? How to differenciate, which one is wich?
As far I know, the early batches had no clip. I bought my Max2 Pro from ereaderstore in mid February, and it came with the clip.
My stylus (ordered late december, IIRC; from ereaderstore) has no clip, and is too thin to hold in the loop of the Max 2. I tend to keep it at the bottom of the sleeve, to avoid losing it - but then I don’t use the stylus much.
Mine has the clip, ordered about one month ago from Amazon
(I think they all came from UK deposit for western Europe)
Stylus fits the fabric loop comfortably and the clip holds it in place even when flipping the Boox upside down.
I used a metal clip taken from a mechanical pencil. Works to hold the stylus on the fabric loop.
It seems Onyx just did the same: added a metallic clip to the pencil. The same hexagonal stylus, just a clip added.
Mine has a clip in fabric loop as well.
Hi, same here - mine has a clip - bought about 2 weeks ago. I read somewhere that the batches after November last year reverted back to the ‘with clip’ version…

I’ve managed to find mine every time I’ve lost it, but I would be much happier if I could clip it to the device and have it stay there.

Buying a whole stylus for having a clip sounds like an overkill for me.
IMHO Onyx should send dlang and any other early adopter who ask for it a clip for free or for a small nominal fee. The clip I got with my MAX2 is a small separate peace of metal attached to the original clipless stylus, so it should not cost more than 1 or 2 euros.

Well, that sounds pretty good.
Now, if Onyx could just supply 2 or 3 screen protectors free of charge also, to mitigate the screen-scratching problem with the Max 2 and possibly other devices, my somewhat-negative view of there customer-service would improve also!
