Not seeing annotations made on Note 2 on several Linux pdf viewers

Hi everyone,

So I just got my Note 2 and I’m very excited about it! I want to use it mainly for reading academic papers. I managed to set up syncing between the Note 2 and my computer using Dropsync. Then I tried adding annotations to a pdf using the pen, and it does sync back to my computer. However it seems that while the annotations are there, I cannot see them with any of the pdf viewers that I tried on my linux computer (okular, evince, ubuntu reader, qpdfview). I can only see the annotations if I send the file to a Windows PC or in gmail.

Does anyone has a solution for me? Is there a problem with the format?

Try adobe reader dc in wine.

I use Foxit Reader, Zotero and Mendeley to view annotations. It’s quite strange that default Linux pdf viewers cannot do this.
